How to become a Licensed Barber
- Complete 1,200 hours in less than 8 months
- 16 years and older
- At least 10th grade education, high school deploma, or GED
- Provide legal US presence documentation

Teaching Methods
PV Barbers Academy’s curriculum is developed by Master Barber, Ruben, based on the very latest teaching methods. This approach enables our students to learn, practice and develop their skills in a manner that suites their learning style and natural skill level
We have developed a unique teaching approach that blends a style of traditional grooming techniques with modern barbering style and fade. Students experience a well-rounded education that positions them for an immediate successful career in the field.
Instructors use a combination of hands-on, interactive training with classroom instruction, including lectures, quizzes, group activities, visual aids, demonstrations, work on live models and host of other engaging approaches. Our instructors have a combined 36 years of advanced barbering techniques.
Program Details
Our Barber License Program prepares students for their Arizona State Board of Barber Licensing Exam while focusing on high quality work product, professionalism, creativity, customer focus and business decisions.
Students learn through a combination of theoretical and practical training. Theoretical training takes place in a classroom setting and practical training is conducted in our barbershop.
We offer client services to the general public so students can apply their skills and further their education.
TUITION: $12,000
KIT & FEES: $3,000
HOURS: 1,200 in 8 months (full-time)
Program Goals
Upon graduation of the Barber License Program, graduates should possess the skills necessary to pass the Arizona State Board of Barber Licensing Exam. Students can then obtain employment in the field of barbering, and perform all client services, including haircuts, shaves, facials, and more.
Our program is designed to teach students to develop a professional attitude, desirable work habits, and an entrepreneurial mindset. They will graduate with a well-rounded knowledge in all aspects of barbering
